FORCE Community Drop-In Session
Carlisle United Church
July 29th - 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Friends of Rural Communities and the Environment will be holding the second of three informal Community Drop-In sessions on July 29th at Carlisle United Church from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. The purpose of these meetings is to provide a venue for the free flow of information throughout all members the Community.
Since June of 2004, the main forms of communication have been this website, email newsletters, special topic printed flyers, and our Annual General Meeting. We have also made presentations at the public meetings held by the City of Hamilton and the Region of Halton, as well as at Councillor McCarthy's meetings. While each of these forms of communication have been successful, it was felt that it was important to reach out to the community in a more informal and personal setting. These Drop-In sessions will be an opportunity for residents to visit at their leisure and meet with members of the Steering Committee. You will be able to exchange ideas and information, increase your knowledge about how the Community is working together to oppose the St Marys Cement CBM proposed quarry application.
We realize that not all residents have access to the internet and email so we ask that you help us spread the word to friends and neighbours. Please print and post this information in your local neighbourhood.
If you are new to the area, have questions, or are simply looking for current information on the proposed quarry application then drop by the Carlisle United Church anytime between 2:00pm and 4:00pm on Sunday, July 29th. We look forward to meeting you and discussing this critical battle facing our Community.
Sunday, July 29th
